02 / Capabilities

What is inside.

  • Masters, layouts and themes

Slide masters hold layouts whose placeholders every slide inherits. Original themes, sections, headers and footers and custom slide sizes keep a long deck consistent.

  • Shapes and connectors

Preset shapes come with adjust handles, and connectors stay glued as shapes move. Merge shapes by union, combine, fragment, intersect or subtract, and finish them with gradient fills, shadows, glows and reflections.

  • Text that fits

Edit text in place with bullets, numbering, columns, autofit and vertical text. Warped text effects, spelling squiggles and a thesaurus are built in.

  • Charts, tables and pictures

Native charts carry trendlines, tables take styles and pictures crop and correct on the slide. An icon gallery and a photo album command fill slides quickly.

  • Transitions and animations

Choose from fades, pushes, 3D turns and transitions that morph one slide into the next. Entrance, emphasis, exit and motion-path animations can build a list one paragraph at a time.

  • Presenter view

Present with a timer, clock, resizable notes, pen, laser pointer and a grid of every slide. Custom shows, rehearsed timings and looping kiosk mode cover the rest.

  • Video that just plays

H.264, HEVC, VP9 and AV1 video and common audio formats play inside the deck, with trim and fades.

  • A complete show

Presenter view, custom shows, rehearsed timings, pen and laser pointer are all part of the app.

  • Original starter decks

Themes, layouts and starter decks are designed for Santre Deck, ready to adapt.

03 / Workflows

In practice.

  1. Present a quarterly review

Start from a starter deck, swap in this quarter's charts and tables and write speaker notes under each slide. Rehearse the timings, then present in presenter view with the notes and clock on your screen.

  2. Turn an outline into slides

Open a Markdown or text outline and each heading becomes a slide with its list items as bullets. Apply a theme, rearrange sections in the Slide Sorter and add transitions.

  3. Send handouts after the talk

Export a PDF of notes pages or handouts with up to nine slides per page, sized for Letter or A4. Add an animated GIF preview of the deck for a chat message.

  • AutoRecover

Work in progress is recovered after an unexpected quit.
